Stars shined bright and the crickets chirped loudly. Tonight was just any typical night in nature, but for the beings that inhabited this planet, it was not. Every day was a new day, and we couldn’t predict where our lives would end up.

I could never have imagined I would be an angel by the year 2022.

Lucía didn’t think this year would have been the year she ended up pregnant. With winter now approaching, she was beginning to contemplate her choices throughout life. Liam was the biggest mistake she made.

Ayden and I had visited Lucía this morning to get to know her some more. She was one interesting human being. Today, she had replayed the events of what it had been like to meet Liam and date him. She had no idea what was happening during the time they were together.

Lucía had met Liam during 2021, right around the holiday season.

With no family, she had nobody else to turn to. He was there. Liam was attractive and charming. That man could deceive any woman he wished. This was before the official war between good and evil on earth. This was when Ayden and I weren’t even engaged yet.

They met in a shop, one that was small and local. It was an antique Christmas shop that Lucía visited every year to keep up her spirits and hope for a happier season.

Liam happened to walk in at the time she was browsing the objects. It took one smile at her to put her under his spell. Lucía was hooked.

Liam began chatting up a small conversation about her, questioning simple things like where she grew up and her interests. Eventually, she gave him her number and left with a new tree topper.

He called her a day later and asked her out on a date, to which she accepted. She had been so excited to go on a date with a nice guy.

Friday rolled around and the two of them headed to a Christmas light show. I had never been to one myself, but she mentioned it was very beautiful. It made it feel a lot more like Christmas.

Lucía said, between the holiday cheer and winter festivities, it was a far more romantic date than a picnic in the spring. She wore her warm clothes, and it began to snow as they were leaving the place. She was wrapped around his finger as soon as he leaned down and kissed her. Kissing in the snow was the equivalent of kissing in the rain.

He took her home and they continued to go on more dates throughout the months. May rolled around and this was where things got dark.

Lucía and Liam had been having sex for a few months throughout their relationship. She had no clue that when he wasn’t with her, he was with Lucifer, destroying the world. He was helping Hell go free and other cities were being attacked by demons, fallen angels, and shadows. He was fighting to get rid of Ayden and me.

Lucía got pregnant about this time, but she had no idea that she was.
